File specification
Vector based files should have fonts converted to outlines.
Image files should be 300dpi at 100% of finished size.
(Please note that most images downloaded from websites are not suitable to use for printing)
All files should be supplied using a CMYK colour profile as this best represents the output of our printers.
Please note that the colour you see on your computer or from your printer may not truly represent the actual colours in your
artwork file. If colour matching is necessary please make sure that you include PMS (Pantone matching system) references
& or accurate colour proofs.
All fonts used in your file must either be embedded or outlined. There are so many variations of fonts which means if you do
not do this the fonts may be substituted for alternatives.
Bleed is required when any part of the print goes to the very edge of the file. It allows tolerance in both the print & finishing
process & ensures that no unwanted white lines appear at the edge of the finished item.
- Bleed of 5mm is required for small prints (up to 1 meter)
- Bleed of 10mm is required for large prints (greater than 1 meter)
Files can be supplied in the following media.
- CD/DVD
- Memory stick
- Email (less than 10mb)
- FTP (greater than 10mb)
We must assume a competent level of knowledge from those persons or organisation with regards to the printing process
& setting up of artwork. If you are unsure of anything, please contact us prior to creating/supplying artwork to us.
